Format: Kindle Edition

As a lover of stories, I tend to look for either myself or people I know in books I read. It helps solidify my imagination. This book and what I hope is the beginning of a series is the first time I have seen my cultural background reflected back at me in a romance novel, I believe any person growing up first generation immigrant will identify with.

Serra and Didier quickly pull you into their world, Brooklyn, NY gets a staring role and their friends are hilarious and you soon hope that they too get their own stories so you can delve into their lives. Serra is a breath of fresh air as she’s a spit fire and gives as good as she gets. Didier is a mystery, there seems to be some things from his background that he’s not proud of and as the book ends the author leaves you with a clue. It’s definitely worth the read!

I proudly recommend "Wait for me" as a very well written and spicy romance in which the author really put up front and took the haitian culture into consideration. Hold your breath and have fun reading "Wait for me".
